The stallion's neck curled against his chest, a snort whirling through his nostrils as he stomped into the lush meadow, the tips of the knee-high grass just barley yellowing with the chill in the air. Goosebumps rolled over the stud's skin as the breeze caressed his body, wispy air spiraling out around his muzzle. He tossed his head into the air, forelegs striking the ground roughly, leaving deep imprints in the gentle snowfall. The land was empty. No hoof prints graced the green earth of this mountainous terrain, and the smells of past equine had vaporized long ago.
The unique cremello slowed his two beat gait to a four beat, a sigh heaving from his sides, sensing no danger or immediate threat. After a moment of striding deeper into the luscious land, he brought himself to a halt, and with a powerful shove of his hind end, brought his torso into the sky. His hooves ripped across the vast blueness above him, like razor blades through cotton. An ominous whinny tore from his muzzle, deep inside his throat. It purred through the empty land, echoing among the mountains in his announcement.
As his neigh dissipated into nothingness as he bolted forward, tearing through the new land with an obvious joy about him. Home! A home! A place for himself, and himself alone! With this off his checklist, Aero could now relax. He could laze about leisurely, meet new equines, perhaps even a mare or two, if luck happened to be on his side. His hooves gripped the ground, sending clods of dirt flying behind the ghostly mustang. His mane flew in a flurry around his neck, forelock flinging itself into his crystal blue irises. He galloped until he felt far enough in, only to rise again and scream out his claim.
”I, Aero, call this land mine. If you dare to challenge, come forth, as I will gladly meet you half way there.” A smirk fluttered onto his abnormally malicious lips. Aero wasn't a fighter, truth be told, but he would hardly let any nosy stallion's know that. To them, he would be king.
